And I Stop By To Say Hi

My first cycling expedition.

Through Zig- Zag Terrain

Place      : Ullswater , Lake district , UK
Distance : 22km ( does this sound easy ??)
Terrain   : Mountain  ( Ahh this is the catch!! )
Level     : Medium challenge

I am not good at travel posts(errr i am also not sure what posts i am good at , as it been ages i stumbled upon here)so  keeping it to the point.

Cylcling Route
Hire bike at Pooley bridge ( other end of the lake)> Follow U path through the hills  > Finish  at Glenridding ( start point of the lake) > Take streamer at Glenridding back to Pooley bridge  and return the bikes.

On shores of a smaller lake on the way

He even had to carry my cycle for a while. Did i not say build stamina

Lost Our Ways

Scottish and super expensive hotel on the shores of the Ullswater lake

Only cycling i did all my life was to and fro to my maths tuition eons back. So this was a challenge . However mountain biking is not for the weak hearts .One needs loads of  stamina, gear changing tricks , right clothing and what not. Also this was an unknown route , so using compass and map was required. Though i tricked the actual route for more downhill paths .

Lesson learnt:-
1. Always optimize the timing , we almost missed our last streamer to the port.
2. Wear right clothing i.e padded cycling pants (else everything down under aches!!), helmet, gloves and windcheater is a must
3. You will fall , no matter what , so be prepared for some wounds.
4. Have a sense of direct to use maps and compass. Sign boards might not be handy always :P

PS0: Butt aching .
PS1: Have used "i" instead of  referring oneself  in third person "author". hmmmm
PS2: Mind doesn't wander anymore, but to create ...wandering is a must , is it?
PS4: Ok , i just read the post. It's  as bland as English food , so enjoy the pics :D

Running Out Of Words

PS0:  Post drafted on 28Oct , 2011

5 and half  years of routine , may sound monotonous , but i was institutionalized. A lot of me ..is left behind .
the word "routine" is  most hideous  way to sum it up ..but it makes  easier for me to believe to let go .

I was cleaning and segregating stuff.  I have been doing that for  days . Stuff .... emotionally,  i have been doing that for months .

Lot of clutter  lies around . Shopping bills , hundreds of earrings, papers and more papers , hundreds of kurtas  , perfume bottles , the rejected tops , half filled note books , wires ,  more wires and stationary. Some more wires , books , oils , liquids of various kinds , furniture , cups of all shapes , colors and a zillion pair of shoes......

Its good to go . Its good to go to find oneself , to track back the shaken individuality,  which ,  in the recent past one let  loose ,  allowed  to get influenced  quite easily .Prior to this , the initial half  decade, one possessed  rigid  opinions. But to grow and  to learn , one  took liberty  and projected the a malleable  child  to the world or shall one say  there was an addiction of some kind  and influences ....  ahhh and the child did learn a LOT .It was loved a lot , rejected . It was thrashed ,yet  was taken care . It was advised  and at times  looked down upon . Worshiped at times and forgotten otherwise.  It laughed a  lot , it cried. It was fun to be with  , yet boring at times .It traveled , scribbled  poetry, coded in java ,made wonderful friends , learnt about relations , about the world ,people . And then, a monitoring voice from within said - grow up , its time to take responsibility. Its time to give  . Its time to  move on.

"you have to completely immerse yourself into unfamiliar territory to understand yours".

PS1: Two bachalorate parties in row .
PS2: 48 hours and 4 hours of sleep and 5 shots of taquila .Yeah baby i know how to party .
PS3: 5 farewell parties in total .......damn you people , don't make it tougher for me !!
PS4: //Todo,  post  on big fat Indian weddings . Yeah lot of humor out there .

Subjective : Freedom

I wanted to fly ,
I did,
But within my cage.
So don't  metaphor , flying to freedom.

The question is how big is your cage?
The question is , is it big enough to  fade away the walls?
As there is no world without boundaries.

So how far  you  flew. Were  your cage doors open ?
Or were you a mere  kite ,  even worse , Tied.
