We See

(Author’s first name) (Author’s second name) wonders what is “its complicated” relationship status on FB ?

Yeah this was meant to be status message but for analytical reasons turned out to be a post.
But …..err…. I have nothing to extend on this apart from say-relationships are complicated in itself, in anyways .Just writing for self concealment that one can still blog.
Is it Dying turned out quite self applicable and destructive.

Last weekend Author attended an Art exhibition .
And to my astonishment one of the artist’s work was based on or technically speaking was weirdly “inspired by “ sanitary pads!!.
Yes you read it right. Strange but interestingly new.
Other 7 artists exhibits took two rooms, while the pad-theme dominated the entry room. As they say "to some it’s art to others it’s controversy".
For a change photography was allowed and for a change we didn’t had camera ,Duh.
We all are aware of the fact that light source and optics related info is taken in account while sketching , but only after a brief conversation with the pad- painter and ma architect roomy ,I figured out that there is lot of technical and compositional apart from creative, touch required in this profession.

To understand art of any form for that matter, requires suitable taste . At times it may take time to develop it.But in the end acceptance is the biggest challenge artists face in general .Frankly speaking after this exposure I am sure I don’t poses taste for all kind of paintings .But at the same time I don’t end up ridiculing them .How much ever uncanny they might appear. But this is about visual arts , they at least get reaction.
It’s the literature sphere like poetry and write-up which suffers in terms of response from masses unless they belong to popular creator or brand. While Photography and music by commoner gains instant reaction. Obvious reason being patience required to perceive these forms .

For instance
1.Video
2. Photos
3. Audio- Music
4. Painting
5.Write-Ups like Blog/Article
6.Poetry

Upload above in Social media and observe reception. The hits are maximum in the order the items are listed above.

The fact is we respond to visuals more proactively.
Certainly the advertising world realized this  long ago and is cashing on it.

Randomness from the Hard-Drive

Why should photos from mobile take a back seat ?Why should they be photogenic to be published ? And I have a huge collection of such .Before my laptop cries out for space and demads deletion , let them have 2 minutes of fame.
From here from there , from everywhere .
From now and then

Law Of Conservation Of Flab

Fat can neither be created nor be destroyed . It can only traverse from one body to another.
The total fat in the universe is constant , and so is on earth.
If a body is losing n KGs somewhere. Another body is putting on n KGs .

While the system is taking backup .The mind is wandering and deducing above stated facts :D.

I know what I am going to die of

Alzheimer's.

I forgot my birthday reminder’s birthday, Frogee’s Birthday :(
I am bad at remembering dates , but I never forget March23rd , its kind off registered in my brain since I was in 5th class.
Frankly speaking the calendar in my brain was running behind schedule , all day long I thought it was 22nd.

A call from movers n packers and a quick login on orkut , opened up my eyes and I shouted “SHIT” while running performance test cases.
Nope! there is nothing wrong in drawing a blank on your closest pal’s BD , after all we are humans.

But what would you say on this:-
A day before i.e on actual 22nd I shopped with her for her birthday present . She came to bid me farewell and all .
They surprised me with a collection of my old pics ( Historically I was stick thin ), Amol Palekar’s movies, Sex and the city cd , Paulo Coelho’s novel , etc….some emotional hugs .And the very next day , It just went out of my mind ?
I am going to be her Made of honor , She is marrying my best guy friend and all I do is simply forget .

I thought I wasn’t sad at leaving hyd . Actually I don’t have time to feel anything. N things like packing, cartons , banking, parties, buying etc are keeping my mind hazardously occupied to even sit and realize the inner grief . Oh lord! I beg for some time.

Sorry :(, I know Frogee you don’t read my blog . I failed to sell it to you .But I love you and I am going to miss you.

Tiffin bombs

Has Mohini read my post? Mohini “the dabba wala “ aka my food supplier for past 1 and half years.

9 July 1:00 PM , The hungry me (the breakfast devoid one)makes usual call to the security to verify if my Tiffin has come ,
Security guy : "Nahee madam, abhee tak dabba nahee aya"
Me: "Agar aye toh upaar pent house pe bhejh dena."

1:10 PM , I call the source and yell /crib ,why is my lunch not here yet?
Mohini:" Oh sorry ,ajj tiffin nahee bhej payengay"
Me :" Hmm , apko pehale btana chahiye thaa na."

The hungry me (the breakfast devoid one) puts down the receiver! And curbs the hunger with “free” office food . To add to the misery ,encounters stones , long hair while chewing.

Same episode repeats the next day, I call the source again and
Me: "Abhee tak lunch nahee aya mera"
Mohini:" Meine apko bolana , abb lunch nahee bhejeinge hum"
Me:" Lunch nahee bhejeinge matlab?"
Mohini : "Very casually says, ab se nahee bhej paengay, resource nahee hai, sorry ."
Me: Long pause

I felt as if my mom has called me and told “kid I am no longer going to cook for u or feed u.Make/Find ur own way in life.
What puts me off that Mohini dint even informed me regarding this sudden ceasing of lunch supply , rather it was during my daily verification calls I get to know this news in a very casual way.
Why is it this way ,that when it comes to customer care we always try to give our best .But when we are in the customer’s shoes , the vendors don’t care!

As they say “ jo hota hai achhey ke liye hota hai”

I actually started cooking quite frequently before being ditched and also published a post .Later that, kind off helped me to come over the feeling of being a loyal customer yet being ditched !
Have technically learned(amateurish types) to cook for survival years back , it was just that never loved it nor was required to practice it .
However , now we are practising it and I confess, have actually started loving it .:)
Ma & Pa are happy coz I have finally developed an interest for this art and further reduced my dependencies .
Me too happy :d, no wonder we click the pic for every dish.

See and say Yummmm

Click on the pics to see the zoomed version and detailing about the garnish.

Poha, Koshimbeer(the curd thing, raita kinds with peanuts powder), Paratha(guess the Map :P, to me looks like a Stingray without the tail ) , aloo curry, Thalpeeth(pic missing , will upload later) ......what not .

PS1: haha and u thought me writing about the blasts?
PS2:I can expect a bomb squad soon , I often leave the weekend dabba(the typical 3 storey steel one) in front of the flat.
PS3: Can this heading cause me trouble? Whatever.
PS4: My MP3 player has gone for a toss, no music bhoohoooo…already 3 days ,no music.
PS5: Long time no Arzzes ,kada? here u go

Real to Reel.

They all ran, wrapped in long meters of silk .Nandini for Samir , hitting everything which came on the way , all those brass articles, endless satin red curtains , through the huge mansion , burning her dupatta on the way.

Paro for Devadas in a red bordered white saree, rippling behind……calling “deva..oh deva re…deva….………..”.Again smashing the brass articles and yes there was some fire here as well , doing some burning admix those red curtains, through those twist and turns & long passages of the haveli.

Sakina for Imran( twice), this time the long hair waved along with the white Lahanga in the first sequence and a black one in the second shot with all that peacock blue backdrop , smoothly and swiftly towards her love. They all ran as if there is no tomorrow.

(Hope I could have created audio and visual effect with my writing L unfortunately I lack the skill.)

Well these are the common acts of some of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s creations with luxurious & magnificently detailed backdrops. Namely -Hum Dil De Chuke sanam , Devadas, his latest flop Saawariya.

If unable to recollect have a look at them on youtube. They all are similar.

Wonder why dint he made Michelle run in Black.
Movies were released, some appreciated, some bombed at box office and then gone. The Actress enacting the sequences changed from Ash to Sonam…..But what remained was the character. There’s a bit of Nandini, Paro ,Sakina in each other …at least till the characters were on the papers , in the scripts , in the mind.

Every Director’s or may be writer’s movies we see has something in common. I am not talking about the typical bollywood formulas or categories or camps or the style or the things which are retained deliberately or automatically. This is all about a personal touch, a deep unsaid emotion, an unfulfilled ambition, a message, a rebel, learning, preaching, an experience, a lost love, a dream…. Which the person was unable to live through in real life is portrayed in the reel life.

Yes , movie making is an industry, it is money making, and it is business,it's showbiz!!. But it is also an art –a craftsman’s creation, a visionary’s vision, a mother’s baby, a never ending search and drive for lost past & unseen future.

Residing in epicenter of “Malls”.

No this is not about the Mall culture of the metros or is it? Read on to find out while I myself will figure out while writing what this post ends up in.

Living in Begumpet/somajiguda/Banjarahills……. most of the It/BPO (highly paid labors) belonging to the rat race, live in these areas. They work on weekdays and the earnings are shelled out on weekends. Ya ya I knw what you guys are thinking, you don’t belong to this shopholic breed. Well who said junta goes to malls only to shell out money. We go for window shopping, “Bird watching”, AC ki hawa khane in those summer days, to kill time, R&D on a specific product etc…….

Fortunately-unfortunately “na illu Begumpet lo undi” .Towards right a few 100 meters is Shoppers Stop, towards my left just after crossing the bridge is Lifestyle. Slightly ahead of this is Hyderabad central….few more kilometers, Banjara hills road no.1, opposite TK is City centre..phew!! already four in a radius of …..Kms. (will calculate and fill in the blank).Anyways in Hyderabad kilometers don’t matter. The traffic jams makes all the difference in speed & time to reach the so called “near by” places.

Central is heavily rushed at any hour of the day as the PVR crowd is added to the other general mall crowd plus the huge eating joint crowd. You will find ((Shoppers Stop+Pantaloons+Lifestyle ) * products) @ Central.Yeah but if you are looking for a very specific piece in terms of size/color/variety this is NOT the place to look for.

Malls are not the place to shop for those people who have taken the decision and are very sure/keen of what they want in terms of all the specifications of the product. You may not find the right size if the color is there, or vice versa.

It’s a place where one generally goes and picks up the stuff without deciding or one who knows “where“ to buy but not “why” to buy. I have been searching for “Mera wala Blue” casual shoes at all these places. Successfully found it at both shoppers & central but of 4 and 8 number sizes L that too single piece.

When it comes to trendy clothing, Lifestyle& City center is the place to look for. It does has all the fashionable chic clothes + the chics (good for guys) .The crowd also includes Ok type boys…Where do all the handsome looking men shop? We haven’t seen many..annnn!! I know now , probably we are too busy shopping and trying out stuff rather than looking here and there: D. but Central crowd always has a bunch of annoying lafangas sitting on seats of every floor who come just for bird watching.

The good fragrance of these malls is contributed by the perfume section kept at the entrance .Their price range goes beyond limits hence these sections are mostly empty. Just beside them will be the cosmetic+ Jewelry section with heavily make-uped layered sales girls.

The whole idea of super markets /malls or such places which keep all their goods on display has struck the right cord of today’s consumer and a marketing strategy which works very well. Earlier people used to prepare a shopping list before going to market and would buy the same from a shop where goods were taken out on demand. Now every product is visible to the consumer whether it’s needed or not, resulting in tempting customers to pick up stuff randomly. We end up buying more than what we actually need. (Considering the fact we have the money to buy.)

And if taking about malls how can one forget the multiplexes. During college days (that’s only 2 years back) watching a movie consumed 35(ticket -balcony was preferred) + 10(coke)+10(popcorn)+10 (bus/auto/transport)= 65 rupees.

And now we shell out 100(ticket)+100(coke&popcorn)+500(optional-after all you are in multiplex you might end up shopping some stuff or there is a super market attached to all so might be a grocery buy .Also people have their own addictions to buy books/cds/gadget..etc) whatever it sums up to=700 bugs
65 was spent once in say.three months and now movie watching has almost become a weekly business or at least monthly .

I think I can go on and on this; there are so many mall strategies yet to be told the 999 price tag and all …phew! Stop!

Those were the consumer behavioral norms of the past. These are the behavioral patterns of the generation pre-liberalization.

However, just as consumer mindsets and attitudes have taken a step change since the opening up of the economy and the advent of consumerism, so too have consumer behaviors seen a 'sea change' during the same period.

Peter Drucker said, "The purpose of business is to find a customer." Theodore Levitt elaborated that "the purpose of business is to create and keep a customer". However, today business is moving towards what Jason Jennings and Laurence Houghton said, "The purpose of business is to find, keep and grow the right customer.
