Wahan Se Kiya Hai Telefoon

Time has come to choose , to make decisions . Time has come to move on.
Finally! After months of dragging , author has zeroed –in for four options and has already developed a soft corner for the first .

As they say, “Better late than never”and as they also say, “Looks can be deceptive“.(I don’t know who *they* are but if you do, do drop a comment. I’ve got a bone to pick with them).

1. Sony Ericson W595i .
It’s sexy be it feature , performance, looks. That’s what the reviews rave about.

2. Nokia E51
Is a safe buy .(Ok, if readers wondering why the hell do I need a business phone……….why not haan? why not ?..after all one already has some business ideas lurking around -A tiffin center ….likewise a community washing machine....likewise a matrimonial site using QR engine to filter (remember this even won me an award @ YTOP) . :D
Coming to point. This is the only Nokia phone which is sleek and has all basic features within my budget .

3. Nokia Navigator.
I will rather prefer to ask auto wala, bandi wala , watch man or Hawaldar or just any passerby for the routes than wait to figure out the complex menu options to see an even more complex map to know where on earth am I and which route leads me to destination.
But again it’s a safe buy in terms of Battery life. Please note that the camera sucks! Not that I am expecting a cool quality , but at least it should outshine my previous buy .
It's slightly sleek.
At times those maps are useful ,but one needs to pay for them and they are just for cities .India mein nahee chalta ! gully-nukkad-konaas gyan comes with experience.
For this am surely expecting outrage from Com.
4. Nokia 5660

Initially I planned to buy a sasta handset , coz all I majorly do is talk!(By talk I do NOT mean … Reliance to Reliance free “couple” talk , I mean the genuine required quantity).
But then the desired basic features listed below hyperbolized the requirement and eventually the budget.

1. Camera 2 MP , so that I can capture sudden, funny , admirable, rare moments(what if I witness spaceship with aliens .The probability of having a phone than a digi at that cosmic moment is higher :D )
2. Mp3 player , so that I can dance or get consumed in a song without disturbing my roomy. (The Mp3 player I had earlier is dead , errrr the dancing tremors might itself wake up the neighbors na , silly! )
3. Bluetooth ,so that I can immediately transfer that alien pic taken above to someone with wi-fi enabled service.
4. Games , so that .. fustian
5.FM ,speaker, so that ..blah
Etc ...

But what about my phobia?
I have this strange fear with all battery operated devices , that the charge will go down as soon I need them the most. Thanks to my current phone for worsening it.
MP3 players , cameras running out of charge is still passable, but what about mobiles?..what if I am lost somewhere and I need to call urgently...what if I consumed all its power in listening music and clicking and when finally I need to make/receive a call , it bulbs.
OverAndOutRed!Red! phobia(just now named it) makes me realize that this all- in-one thingy is not such a great deal, unless backed with a powerful battery .
May be each gadget should be bought and used separately so that events can surpass mutual-exclusiveness in extreme situations.

PS0: Drop in suggestions

Khuch Khaas Hai

I bet you can’t resist seeing it more than once .
Especially first one.

So what am I getting?Of course I won.
Oh! come on , hints are above.
Dimag ki bati jalee?
Arreh, all I want is a Cadbury. Show some generosity! at least for the sake of those forgotten commercials.

Concerts and such
Live music is like dessert to the ears .The gadgets just cannot create that magic.
We audienced Pandit Ravi Shankar and Anoushka Shankar’s sitar Jugalbandi concert.
The event witnessing who ‘s who of Hyderabad page 3 circuit , hosted at HICC Novotel and to our surprise was for free! .
May be the publicity was a clandestine affair :D.
A display somewhere said No to photography and Video(we read –silent video) and indulged in some minor audio recording .(To be published soon).
Never break rules !
And people who make them –Never assume !
Followed by Russian ballet –Jan 14(Over , gave a miss) and Rajat Kapoor ‘s play -Hamlet (Jan 24 ,check) .All for free!

Aptdc guys are attempting some serious and productive ways of promoting such events to gather dandier response from Hyd crowd , to catch up with Delhi-Mumbai-Bangalore metropolis culture.

So before such artistic events give rise to economic dependencies and require networking skills for paid passes , keep a watch on the hoardings for the ads .Silly ! not when you are driving or crossing .Silly , Silly ! you can always Google .

An open book bet one can’t read

Years of illusion
a world of my own, I built in delusion

Where there is an ease
Self sufficient nuff ,a convincing bluff

Where there is hope
Reality is fake n facts are vague

Years of illusion
a world of my own, I built in delusion

Like a cocoon woven around
Cushioning against the blows
Deafening the noisy sound

Like a baby in mother’s womb
Shielded for growth
Away from noxious, blooming so pure

In pursuit of innocent Joy ................
Years of illusion
a world of my own, I built in delusion

P.S0: So sorry I feel , forgotten my blogs first birthday .Was so much engulfed in one’s own mile stone in Jan.
P.S1: “Random Thoughts” successfully completed an year on 6th Nov 08 , hmmm it’s a Scorpio :D
P.S2: Jokes apart , it feels good to be able to devote oneself and survive here for such short-long . I hope the ebullience stays to write in continuum.
P.S3: And thanks to most of the readers for their encouragement , criticism, comments/compliments .
P.S4 : Ok , now do not forget about the author’s poem above…hmmm , wow! I can kind of dedicate it to RT..........though it wasn’t composed in this context.

Ghazal from roomy and Marley

Oops! this is still popping up in your RSS?
voila the link works .
I remember .Tried 5 new strings but all are already taken , sob , sob :(.
Will be on the old address till a new/original URL is finalized .

Well nothing much though , have found another Ghazal - Ranjish hi sahi by Ahmed Faraz…………which on listening , bet one can’t stop appreciating (only if one has similar taste). Earlier, heard it in Anuradha Paudwal’s voice . Seems it was sung by many others , of which RunaLaila’s is a master piece .

Listen
Download

Wish you all a very Happy New Year .

PS0: Tried singing it.
PS1: Failed miserably . The ups and downs came out blunt n straight , just cannot get those waves .Was able to get the depth in the voice though .
PS2: Man! the lyrics are totally senti and touchy , not all decodable .Few Urdu words even thyself dint understood.

Btw, Wanna see how crazy Comet has been ? - Marley and Me
Good , didn’t read the novel , will see the movie now :D
